The smallest changes can sometimes have the greatest effect. The RoundR app for Android devices works on this principle. It does nothing except round off the corners of the screen, achieving thereby an entirely different look. Users can choose which corners they wanted rounded and by how much. The app is free and also exemplary in that it doesn't collect any data on the user and only asks for the permissions it actually needs.
