A couple, allegedly charged with marrying against the will of families, was killed and their bodies recovered from an isolated part of Devidas area. Police discovered the whereabouts of the couple with the help of identity cards, whence it was further revealed that one Ismail had eloped with one, Sumaira, whom he had married later on.
The parents of the female had registered a case against Ismail for kidnapping of the girl in Thana Choobara, while both were missing for the last 15 days, after which mutilated dead bodies of both, bearing marks of torture before being killed by bullets, were discovered. However, according to latest developments, the kin of boy had arrived in Toba Tek Singh and took custody of his body, while his elder brother said that Ismail had been missing for last 10 days, and had married a consenting girl of adjoining village.
