No-Smoking Day on May 31

World No-Smoking Day will be observed here like other parts of the country on May 31. The Chest Society Pakistan, Islamic Medical Organisation, Pakistan Medical Association, Punjab Health Department and NGOs will organise walks and awareness seminars to mark the day. Officials of the health department, representatives of NGOs, students, civil society, teachers and other people belonging to different walks of life will participate in the walks.
The day is observed on every May 31 in more than 170 member countries of the UN to provide awareness to people about hazards of smoking.
