Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal Block was inaugurated at Foundation University Rawalpindi Campus (FURC) by Managing Director, Fauji Foundation and President Foundation University, Lieutenant General Muhammad Mustafa Khan HI(M) (Retd). Major General Gul Muhammad HI (M) (Retd), Rector FUI and Professor Dr Aftab Ahmad, Director FURC were also present.
While speaking on the occasion, Managing Director Fauji Foundation has said that the 5 storey purpose-built complex of new academic block consists of state-of-the-art classrooms, IT labs, conference room, videoconference room, faculty work stations, management offices and a seminar hall.
He said that the addition of new block at FURC will provide modern infrastructural facilities to the students and faculty. He said, "I am quite optimistic that in the years ahead FUI shall be among the nation's leading universities recognised for student success, educational attainment, research, cultural enrichment and economic development."
Meanwhile, FURC has organised a Job Fair at its premises. More than 50 national and multinational companies set up their kiosks to interview and select talented and skilled students. A large number of job seekers, mainly in the fields of banking, economics, marketing, information technology, telecom engineering, software engineering, liberal arts and social sciences attended the fair. The Open House was also arranged wherein various IT development projects, business projects and software engineering projects were displayed by the students.-PR
