Former president Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and Chairman of Medipak Group of Companies, Dr Khalid J. Chowdhry will sign an agreement, on turnkey basis with the possibility of joint venture investment, with Hunan China Sun Pharmaceutical Company Limited on Thursday (May 30).
Under the agreement, Hunan China Sun Pharmaceutical Company Limited will set up a state-of-the-art compliant facility for the manufacturing of Intravenous (I.V.) Infusion Solutions by Medipak Limited. Dr Khalid Chowdhry said that the recent visit of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang to Pakistan has not only cemented ties of friendship between the two nations but also acted as a catalyst to enhanced business co-operation across all sectors.
He further stated that the introduction of the modern and cost effective Injection Stretch Blow Moulding (ISBM) technology in Pakistan is a testament to the great friendship between Pakistan and China and will lay the foundation to further co-operation between the companies of both countries in the future.
Medipak, established in 1982 with the know-how transfer & technical collaboration of Fresenius AG (Germany), is the pioneer and trend-setter in the local manufacturing of life saving I.V. infusion solutions with a strong market presence and quality branding. With this new capacity expansion, Medipak is ideally poised to lead the domestic market and expand further into previously untapped export territories.
