Modest trading was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday as most of the participants were on the sidelines just to observe developments on political front, dealers said. On the cereals side, Barley Sindh gained Rs 200 to Rs 3000, other commodity items did not move any side, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was up by Rs 25 to Rs 3600 and the best type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3750, Basmati No 386 inferior variety was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 7100 and the best type was down by Rs 300 to Rs 7200 in the process of trading, Basmati-D 98 Shahdadkot low type gained sharply by Rs 1300 to Rs 8000 and the superior variety was higher by Rs 1200 to Rs 8200, they said. On the grams and seeds sectors were unchanged, they added.
