Fitness certificates made mandatory for school vans

In order to avoid the fire incidents like that in Gujrat, the City District Government Rawalpindi and Traffic Police have made it mandatory for the school vans of private schools and pick and drop service providers to present fitness certificates.
The owners of the schools pick and drop vans and private schools administrations are now bound to submit the certificates with District Executive Officer (Education) Rawalpindi. All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association lauded the decision and assured their co-operation in this regard. DCO Rawalpindi Rashid Mehmood said that safety of the children was their first priority and they will make all out efforts in this regard.
