Former president Supreme Court Bar Association Asma Jahangir hoped that PPP would play positive and effective role of opposition like PML-N did in the previous government. Talking to media persons at the Lahore High Court, here on Wednesday, Asma said all political parties should work together to cope with the terrorism and other challenges faced by the country.
She said the defeated parties should show patience and accept the election results with open heart being decision of the people. Foreign observers also declared the election process fair and transparent, she added. Asma said there were many discrepancies in the election arrangements but it was significant that no other state institution interfered in the affairs of the election commission.
