Secretary-General, Jamaat-i-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, extended greetings to Balochistan National Party Chief, Dr Abdul Malik, on his election as the Balochistan Chief Minister. Liaqat Baloch expressed the hope that the new government in Balochistan would solve the problems facing the people of the province, especially the missing persons' issue.
Meanwhile, senior PML(N) leader, MNA, Khwaja Saad Rafiq, and PTI Secretary-General, Dr Arif Alvi, on Sunday, contacted JI Secretary-General, Liaqat Baloch, on phone to solicit JI support for their respective candidates to the office of the NA Speaker and Deputy Speaker. Liaqat Baloch asked them to approach JI parliamentary leader in the NA, Sahibzada Taraqullah, in Islamabad, for the purpose.
