Rice, seeds: rates move cautiously on grain market

Rice and seeds prices moved cautiously on the wholesale grain market on Monday in the process of lean business, dealers said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type rose by Rs 25 to Rs 3625 and the best type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3750, other items maintained overnight levels, they said.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (old) low variety retained week-end level at Rs 500, while the best type picked up Rs 100 to Rs 700, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (new) low type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 1100 and the good variety also followed same pattern, losing Rs 50 to Rs 1250, castorseeds Lasbela fell by Rs 50 to Rs 1850, they said. Prices were unmoved on the cereals and grams sectors, they said.
