Allied Bank Limited (ABL) inaugurated its first ever totally solar powered branch at Jhang Road, Faisalabad on Thursday. This is the first such branch by any bank in Pakistan and demonstrates Allied Bank's commitment towards keeping environment healthy and clean by reducing its carbon footprint.
This unique initiative also leads direction for effective utilisation of solar power opportunities in Pakistan. At the present time of national energy crisis, this solar project could be very helpful in balancing and meeting the present challenges of this sector. Waseem Mukhtar, Director, Allied Bank officially announced the branch open by cutting a ribbon, followed by Dua. Also present on the occasion were Tariq Mahmood, CEO; Zia Ijaz, Chief Banking Service Group; Khawaja Mohammad Almas, Chief Commercial & Retail Banking Allied Bank and other members of the Bank.
