If you are rich and want to have a vacation in space, then a company is just setting up a luxurious space hotel for you but you will have to wait till 2021.

Revealing its plans at the Space 2.0 Summit in California on April 5, a startup company Orion Span aims to launch its luxury space hotel called ‘Aurora Station’ by 2021 and will start accommodating guests by 2022.

The founder and CEO of the company Frank Bunger confirmed, “We are launching the first-ever affordable luxury space hotel.”

However, as per Space.com the trip will obviously not be cheap. The 12-day stay on Aurora Station will initiate at $9.5 million. “There’s been innovation around the architecture to make it more modular and more simple to use and have more automation, so we don't have to have EVAs (extravehicular activities) or spacewalks,” said Bunger.

He continued, “The goal when we started the company was to create that innovation to make simplicity possible, and by making simplicity possible, we drive a tremendous amount of cost out of it.”

The hotel will be the size of a large private jet’s cabin. Bunger confirmed that the company is itself manufacturing the luxury hotel along with developing the needed software for running the hotel. The hotel will accommodate four paying guests at a time along with two crew members, which are likely to be former astronauts. The guests will mostly be private space tourists but, will be available to number of customers as well as government space agencies. Moreover, as the demand grows, the hotel too will expand with time, reported Mirror.

Bunger said that completely refundable $80,000 have to be deposited on an Aurora Station stay from today for the interested candidates. The people will be provided a three-month training program, the last portion of which will happen aboard the space hotel itself.
