Recent survey shows not many people favor Samsung’s curved edges
Where Samsung’s curved screens were considered as something elegant, a recent poll result shows that they are not loved by all and might be annoying for some.
Samsung introduced Samsung Galaxy Round which is also known as the world’s first curved display smartphone. Then it gradually introduced its Edge series that contained a curved screen around the edges. First, the Edge smartphone came alongside a usual flat screen phone until Samsung started to cut off the flat screens and based the phones entirely on Edge screens such as Galaxy S8, S8+, S9, S9+.
Samsung’s president confirms rumors about its foldable phone
Phone Arena recently carried out a survey to question users if there should be a high-class Samsung phone with a flat screen. The answers included, ‘A flat-screened Note would be great!’, ‘A normal Galaxy S flagship, please…’, ‘Nah, the curves are absolutely cool!’, and ‘I am over the curves, limit them to only one device and return the rest to normal, please’.
Though the results showed that people do like curves, they still prefer having the flat-screens back as well. Many people chose to get the flat-screens back. From a total of 3880 votes, only 1130 votes (29.12%) favored curved edge whereas the rest of them wanted some kind of change.
Though curved screen designs do add extra beauty to the smartphone, they are yet extremely sensitive and are also difficult to grip and touch the phone.
