Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) while strongly condemning the brutal assassination of party's MPA, Sajid Qureshi, along with his son, Waqas Qureshi, in Karachi on Friday announced to observe three-day mourning across the country. The decision was taken by MQM's Co-ordination Committee in a joint meeting simultaneously held in London and Karachi on Friday.
The Committee appealed to traders, industrialists, shopkeepers, transporters and people belonging to different walks of life to participate in the 'day of mourning' and suspend business activities and keep public transport off the road on Saturday. The Committee said that all political and organizational activities of the MQM would remain suspended for three-day and black flags would be hoisted at the party offices.
