Gold price dipped to 23-month low of Rs 49, 800 per tola on the local market, traders said on Monday. The decline in gold price, however, did not help increase sales of the yellow metal, they added. "The price of gold per tola decreased by Rs 300 to Rs 49,800," they said. With the decline of Rs 257, gold per 10-gram is now being sold at Rs 42,685, they added. The gold price on the global market was cited at $1,283 an ounce, showing a decline of $11, trader added.
