Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the Federal Government wants to ensure development, good governance and peace in Gilgit-Baltistan. He was talking to the newly appointed Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, Younus Dhagha who made a courtesy call on him here on Saturday.
He asked the Chief Secretary to fast-track the investigation into the recent murder of 11 tourists and to keep him informed about the progress made in this regard. The Minister said visit of foreign tourists to the scenic Gilgit-Baltistan region should be encouraged not only by ensuring foolproof security for them but also by facilitating them through good packages with tour operators.
