Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz has stressed upon the public representatives and the officers of civic organisations to extend their co-operation with each other to ensure foolproof arrangements for protecting the citizens during coming monsoon season. He directed that de-silting process of all drains in the city should be completed.
He said that the officers of WASA, LDA, City District Government and Solid Waste Management Company should be in the field instead of in the office for preparation of monsoon. While reviewing the preparations of monsoon, Hamza said that the co-operation between public representatives and government departments is essential for saving the citizens of hardships during rainy season. He disclosed that like previous year, control rooms would be setup in the DCO office and WASA this year also which will work under the supervision of Commissioner Lahore.
