Two more children die of measles

Two more children on Saturday died of measles, raising the death toll to 35 in the city. According to hospital sources, measles affected children identified as Danish, 8, and Alishah, 6, died in two government Allied and Civil Hospitals of the city.
The sources said that measles were rapidly spreading in the city as every day at least ten affected children have been brought in different hospitals, adding that more then 50 measles hit children were still under treatment in the hospitals. Hospital sources said that at least 10 children have been died of measles for last 12 days which was a big concern for the government. Meanwhile, the district government has started administering anti-measles injections to the children in door-to-door campaign but number of measles-hit children was increasing with the passage of the time.
