An Indian trooper was killed in an incident of accidental firing in occupied Rajouri district. According to Kashmir Media Service, a senior police official said that the trooper, Naik P P Silu, a resident of Nagaland, died after his service rifle accidentally went off at Palma in Rajouri.
On the other hand, the wife of a trooper, Asim Nandi, who was recently killed in an attack in occupied Srinagar, has committed suicide in Bankura district in Indian state of West Bengal. Indian media reported that Piu Nandi (21), wife of Asim Nandi, set herself on fire at her residence at Pachmore village. She was rushed to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Asim Nandi was among the eight troops who were killed in an attack on an army convoy at Hyderpora bypass in occupied Srinagar on June 24.
