The Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW) started with a bang, with designer Cheema Chhapra breaking the norms of ramp walk by choosing everyday woman as her models, including actress Uroosa Siddique who currently is heavily pregnant.

The day one of FPW started off with multiple fashion designers including the debutant Cheema who, prior to the showcase, had promised that she has a big surprise for her fashion show. The innovative and extremely talented fashion designer chose everyday women as her models showcasing.

The fashion show not just broke the modeling body shape stereotype but also the age factor norm, as the models included plus sized women who belonged to different age groups. This was the first time aging beauties were chosen as ramp walk models for showcasing the entire clothing line showing diversity in size as well.

Cheema had earlier said that for her spring/summer collection she has stuck to her forte of block print, Parsi gara and Phulkari. The designer was awfully ecstatic as well as excited for her show and said that she does not believe in size and added that plus size women are the real women of Pakistan.

Apart from Uroosa, chef Zarnak Sidhwa, Ayesha Tammy Haq, Ishrat Zahid Hussain and many others.
