Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fata Health Services and Education department for provision of medical equipment and logistic support to Fata people in health and education sectors. Under the arrangement PEI will provide medical equipment and logistic support of Rs 1 billion to meet the immediate needs of the people of Fata in health and education sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has said that serving Fata and its people is the right place and cause from humanitarian point of view. He highly appreciated the expatriate Pakistanis for coming forward with generous support to join hands with government to promote health care and educational facilities in the areas in particular.
On the occasion Executive Director, PEI Shahid Yousaf said that the assistance in shape of medical supplies to the primary, secondary and tertiary care hospitals is the part of the PEI efforts to provide enough support to the government to save precious lives of the critical patients, improvement in health delivery system, give access to health care facilities; ensuring availability of supplies in health facilities, mother and child health.
