Vietnam's trade ministry has slashed its 2013 trade deficit forecast to $3-4 billion from more than $9 billion seen earlier, due to increased exports, state media reported on Tuesday. Vietnam, which posted its first annual trade surplus in two decades last year, largely as a result of reduced imports, was expected to post a deficit of $9.9 billion this year, data from the state-run General Statistics Office showed.
