Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government plans to privatise all industrial estates, and would supply electricity to these industrial units on subsided rates, to support revival of the industries sector in the province, said KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak here on Saturday.
He said that the step would not only boost up industrial sector, but also local investors establish industries in the province. He informed that the government is committed to pass right of information, right to service, along with legislation for wellbeing of masses, and elimination of corruption. He was talking to a delegation of district Nowshera headed by Mian Jamshaduddin Kakakhel along with other elders of the area.
The Chief Minister said that the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf voted to power for bringing change, so the provincial government has fully pursuing the idea in this regard. We are taking practical steps for removal deprivation among the masses, particularly underprivileged areas of the province, he added.
He said that the government is committed to bring reforms in education and health sectors. The new uniform education system would be introduced in all public sector schools by the March next year, he informed. He further said that the step was aimed to providing equal opportunities of quality education of all children in the province, which will produce fruitful results in the next ten years, he claimed. The transfer of teaching cadre would be ended, while the promotion would be given to them on the basis of performance, he maintained.
With the introduction of uniform syllabus, he said that it would be eliminated the differences of the rich and the poor, and schools will be refurbished with modern facilities very soon, he added. Under the local body system, he said the people would empower at villages to get benefits from health, education and other facilities at their doorsteps.
Regarding the reforms in health sector, the Chief Minister said that all kind of health facilities would be ensured at district headquarter hospitals, basic health units, rural health centre, and other major teaching hospitals by August 15. He informed that the administration and health department would be separated in all major teaching hospitals in the province. He further added that the drugs outlets would be registered online, to prevent selling of counterfeit medicines in the open market. The list of chemists, who were selling spurious medicine, would be displayed, to take action against them, he added.
The Chief Minister said the all kind of government auctions would be carried out by monitoring close-circuit cameras. If the auction was held without cameras and absence of media, the departmental action would be taken against relevant official, he warned. He informed that the government had allocation Rs 1.5 billion for coping of floods situation in district Nowshera and Charsadda.
On the occasion, the delegation assured the Chief Minister for extending support to Jihad against the corrupt people and mafia. It was also assured that they would fully support in the upcoming by-polls, to ensure again success of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf in the province, the delegation said. The Chief Minister also assured the delegation that the government would take all possible steps for resolution of all their genuine demands.
