Constructors' Association of Pakistan (CAP) announced to hold elections for its new office-bearers on September 16, 2013. Prior to this elections for 9 vacant seats of Corporate and 4 vacant seats of Associate members for the term of 2013-15 will be held on September 11 besides nomination of two seats reserved for women entrepreneurs.
According to a spokesman of the Association election schedule was finalised at 75th meeting of CAP's Executive Committee held recently with CAP Chairman Engr. Akber Sheikh in the chair. It was decided that the total number of seats for the executive committee of Constructors' Association of Pakistan (CAP) for the term 2012-2014 will be twenty-eight (28) including 16 Corporate, 10 Associate and 2 seats reserved for Women entrepreneurs.
It was informed that according to the Trade Organisation Rules, 2013, eight (08) seats of Corporate Members and six (06) seats of Associate Members will continue for the year 2013-2014; while elections will be held on fifteen vacant seats of executive committee of Constructors' Association of Pakistan (CAP) for the term 2013-2015. Nomination paper duly proposed and seconded by a registered voter and signed by the candidate will be received up to 17th August 2013 and withdrawal will be accepted up to 20th August 2013.
Elections of members of executive committee and finalisation of nomination of two (2) seats reserved for women entrepreneurs and announcement of provisional results will be held on September 11, 2013, while polling for new office-bearers will be held on September 16, 2013. Final results of the elections will be announced in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association scheduled for September 28, 2013.
Election commission for conducting the election of executive committee of Constructors' Association of Pakistan (CAP) will consist of Engr. Rafiq-ur-Rehman as Chairman while Muhammad Jamil, Khalid Qadeer Mian and Jabbar Butt, Secretary-General, CAP will be its members, the spokesman concluded.
