After the refusal of ex-Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the investigation of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) scam case in light of the revelations made by the main accused Tauqir Sadiq, the Bureau will move an application in the Accountability Court tomorrow (Tuesday) to issue arrest warrants of the ex-premier.
According to well-placed sources, Tauqir Sadiq, former Ogra chairman and main accused in the scam, told the NAB investigators that the family of ex-PM Gilani benefited the most from the multi-billion rupees scam. The sources said Tauqir Sadiq had provided solid proofs in this regard. NAB had summoned Yousuf Raza Gilani for questioning, but he refused to appear citing immunity being a former PM. According to sources, the NAB application in the Accountability Court will seek arrest warrants of Gilani after providing solid proofs.
