Zubair Ahmed Malik, President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), has appointed Asad Sajjad as chairman of FPCCI Standing Committee on Halal Products & Services. Asad Sajjad is the Founder/CEO of HDC (Halal Development Council), Pakistan, an NGO dedicated to the development of Halal Economy.
He is the Senior Vice President of Halal Products & Services Association of Pakistan (HAP), the only registered trade body in Pakistan to represent the Halal Products & Service sectors, with the objective to advocate for better export environment and to solicit maximum encouragement and facilities from the government for the Halal Products and Services trade. HAP will cover all type of Halal Consumables (Foods, Additives, Beverages, Pharmaceuticals, Neutraceuticals) and Non-Consumables including, but not limited to, cosmetics, personal care, soaps, Animal feed as well as services such as Islamic financing, Takawful, Hospitality, Tourism etc, with the aim to facilitate its members to contribute to development of Pakistan's economy.-PR
