Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to provide Rs three billion for Lowari Tunnel

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated Rs 3 billion for a mega development Lowari Tunnel Scheme of the Public Sector Development Programme. For year 2013-14, the KP government has been provided a share of Rs 3 billion in the PSDP scheme, Lowari Tunnel, while keeping in view the essentially and importance of the project, according to a official notification.
It was stated that government has committed to socio-economic development Chitral, and timely completion of mega development schemes in the province. Therefore, the amount for Lowari Tunnel, a PSDP project, the KP government would give share of Rs 3 billion for the scheme to ease the traffic woes and difficulties of Chitralis people, by completion of scheme in due course of time.
