Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) would not allow any extortion activities in Lahore and would reply in the same coin to these anti-social and anti-business elements who are trying to get hold of the city after spoiling businesses in Karachi.
These views were expressed by the Chairman PIAF Malik Tahir Javed while talking to the leaders of various trade associations on Tuesday, the PIAF Senior Vice Chairman Khamis Saeed Butt and Amjad Ali Jawa also spoke on the occasion. The trade leaders who attended the meeting and expressed the resolve the thwart the nefarious designs of extortionists included: President Anjuman-e-Tajiran Khalid Pervaiz, Mubashir Sheikh and Chaudhry Wajid Ali from Plastic Market, Talha Tayyab Butt and Tariq Sulman and Khawaja Amir from Shah Alam, Sheikh Muhammad Fayyaz from Hafeez Centre, Nasir Hameed Khan from Badami Bagh, Dr Ejaz Ali and Khawaja Ejaz from Timber Market.
The PIAF Chairman said that Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front would extend maximum co-operation to the fellow businessmen whenever and wherever the need arises. He said that the PIAF had always stood by the business community either it is loadshedding, stoppage of gas or law and order situation. Tahir Javed said that the Punjab government crackdown against gas, electricity thieves was enough to make the point that there was no place of corrupt, anti-business and anti-social elements in the province.
He informed the participants that Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) had convened Executive Committee meeting on July 31st to finalise foolproof strategy against extortionists. The PIAF Chairman said that the Front has representation in all the city markets and these representatives act as a strong network in the hour of need. Speaking on the occasion, the markets representatives pledged to work in hand in hand with the PIAF for the economic well being of the country.
