Condemning the twin suicide blasts in Parachinar, the leaders of Shia community have demanded of the government to carry out a cleanup operation on pattern of Swat against the terrorist elements, and expose hidden forces behind this brutal killing episode in the Parachinar.
Speaking at a news conference here on Saturday, Imamia Ulema Council Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Allama Khurshid Anwar, and Acting Secretary General Majlas-e-Wahdatul Muslameen (MWM) Allama Syed Aamir Haider Shamshi, said that the government and law enforcement agencies had failed to protect the live and property of the masses and failed take action against the anti-state elements.
"Terrorists will not be succeeded in their nefarious designs, and would face defeat by rendering more sacrifice, said Allama Khurshid. He added that the newly elected government took a stance to hold talks with Taliban, after which a surge was witnessed in terrorists' activities.
The Shia leader said that the silence of state and its security agencies over the increasing acts of terrorism was encouraging the terrorists' elements, which were scot-free to carry out their nefarious activities. He also criticised the media for not properly covered the brutal episode in Parachinar, while focusing on other unnecessary issues.
The Shia Ulema informed that three-day mourning was already declared against the incident, in which 57 people have so far killed, while more than 150 other left injured. We will not deter from such weaken attempts, would give more sacrifices, they warned. They said Jumat-ul-Wida will be celebrated as "Al Youm-e-Quds" with fully enthusiasm and zeal, demanding the government to provide full protection to Shia community processions, religious places and other activities. They also condemned the attacks on shrine of Bibi Zainab in Syria.
