Strengthening of private sector and industrialisation are a must to bring down the graph of unemployment that had gone alarmingly during the last five years because of indifferent attitude of the previous rulers. Chairman, Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF), Malik Tahir Javed, stated this while talking to office-bearers of All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA).
He said that the business community was ready to play its due role towards nation building and hopeful of revival of economic activities sooner than later. He said that the government would have to introduce out-of-box solution to restore the confidence of the local and foreign investors. Trust-deficit was one of the major reasons that kept hostage almost all the economic activities during the yester years and there was no denying the fact that all segments of the society would have to play their role to bridge the deficit."
The PIAF Chairman said that at a time when the world has become global village and the scientific innovations are order of the day, any forward economic movement is day dreaming therefore all available resources should be applied to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the trade and industry.
Javed said that the strengthening of the process of industrialisation in the country would not only be improving the law and order situation but would also help improve economic health of the country. He said that although the present government was doing the needful to produce required electricity but it would have to focus on hydle means of electricity production by curtailing dependence on thermal and rental power units.
He also welcomed the government initiative to take stern action over gas and electricity theft. He said that it was a long-standing demand of the PIAF that a well-co-ordinated action against gas and electricity pilferage should be launched to help lessen intensity of load-shedding.
