Over 3,000 Pakistani nationals took advantage of the two-day job fair organised by the Pakistan Embassy in Al-Khobar last week. Community Welfare Attaches Syed Hammad Abid and Mueenuddin Memon said Pakistani workers from Dammam, Al-Khobar, Jubail, Hofuf and other adjoining areas attended and benefited from the fair. While addressing the workers, on behalf of Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan, both the officials assured them the best of assistance and co-operation from the embassy.
"Please let it be known to all of you that the Pakistan Embassy under the leadership and guidance of our ambassador is ready to help you round-the-clock. But you should realize that the time extension will expire soon and you have to take it seriously and do your part diligently," said Hammad.
Mueen thanked the representatives of various participating companies that put up their respective stalls at the job fair. "We remain thankful to all of you without whose co-operation this job fair would not have been a success," he added. The officials also thanked the local Pakistani community leaders for their interest and co-operation in making the job fair a success.
The job fair in Al-Khobar was the first of its kind in the Eastern Province. Officials said such job fairs would continue during Ramadan and after Eid in several other cities of the Kingdom. The next job fair will be in Qassim and its schedule will be announced shortly.
