Every effort will be made and all the resources will be utilised to bring lane-and-line discipline on national highways and provide quality assistance to the road users, said newly appointed DIG N-5 Central Mirza Shakil Ahmad while taking charge of the office here at Lahore. SSP Central-I Mirza Faran Baig and other officials of NH&MP were also present in the meeting.
DIG Mirza Shakil Ahmad said he feels proud to be a part of a force known for its honesty, dedication to duty, soft policing, quality help to distressed road users and friendly dealing with the violators. He further said no compromise will be made in providing timely and effective help to the distressed road users especially during the hot season and in the Holy month of Ramzan. The DIG also laid stress on the need to install speed checking cameras at the spots which are prone to accidents due to over-speeding of the drivers. He further instructed to specially brief and educate Motorcyclists who are the most careless among all the road users.
