Heavy downpour played havoc in different areas of Chitral as floods blocked roads and flooded streams besides washing away houses and agricultural fields on Thursday. According to the details, rains and floods destroyed crops, orchards and infrastructure in Chitral's Kalash valley, forcing people to move to safer places.
The heavy downpour resulted in landslides in Kalash valley, cutting it off from rest of the area. It's worth mentioning here that Chitral is very famous for tourism while the Kalash valley is famous for Kalash people who are oldest tribe of South Asia and well known throughout the world for their unique culture, religion, language festivals and way of living.
