Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rejects increase in power tariff

The spokesman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Shaukat Ali Yusufzai has said on Thursday that the provincial government is out rightly rejecting increase in the power tariff. Talking to media, he said that federal government is linking the increase in power tariff to Council of Common Interest (CCI), but the issue of increase in the price of utility was not discussed in the meeting.
He said that government instead of increasing the power production had increased its tariff, which is sheer injustice. He said the provincial government rejects increase in the power tariff.
