The country's soyabean oil import posted a rise of 45 percent or $23.049 to $74.466 million during the just concluded fiscal year 2012-13, according to official statistics. Pakistan imported $74.466 million of soyabean oil during last fiscal year as compared to the oil import of $51.417 million during fiscal year 2011-12, showing a rise of 45 per cent or $23.049 million, say Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
In terms of volume, the country's import of soyabean oil surged by 53 percent or 20,773 metric tons to 60,303 metric tons in last fiscal year as compared to its import of 39,530 million in fiscal year 2011-12, says PBS.
