As many as six students of different schools partnered with the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) under its 'Subject Based Support Programme' (SBSP) have set a new record by securing more than 1,000 marks in the Matric exams, 2013. According to the PEF spokesman, Kainat Akram, Hamza Malik, Yaseen Abdullah and Mudassar Nisar (Nankana Sahib), Sadia Hameed (Pakpatan) and Maria Arif (Layyah), enrolled in the SBSP sponsored schools, have secured more than 1,000 marks in their Matric exams, 2013.
These schools are provided master degree holder subject specialists under the SBSP which is being run and supervised by Bushra Saeed Khan, Director Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPDP) of the Punjab Education Foundation. According to the spokesman, Shahid Mahmood, Saida Akhtar and Zubair Gul are working as subject specialists in Mathematics while Nabeel Anjum and Adnan Zaheer are working as subject specialists in Physics and English respectively in these schools. The purpose of providing subject specialists to low cost private schools is to improve the educational standard by providing quality education to the students, concluded the spokesman.
