Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) has congratulated the newly appointed Governor Punjab Choudhry Muhammad Sarwar and assured him of its full support for the progress and prosperity of the country.
PIAF office-bearers, Chairman Malik Tahir Javaid, Senior Vice Chairman Khamis Saeed Butt and Vice Chairman Amjad Ali Jawa in their joint statement said the business community puts his gesture to quit British nationality in high esteem and believes that soon after assuming the charge as Governor, he would be strengthening nationalist forces in the country.
They also appreciated the newly appointed Governors remarks about the construction of Kalabagh Dam and expressed the optimism that he would be taking all possible steps to win a national consensus for the early construction of the mega project of national importance.
They said the project was not put into the cold storage by the rulers in the past, the country would not have been suffering so miserably for want of electricity. If Kalabagh Dam had been built in the past, cheaper and ample electricity would have been available to the people of this country but it was very unfortunate that every now and then a new conspiracy was hatched against in country to keep it backward, the PIAF leaders said.
