Eid shopping is gaining momentum in the capital city of the province, as besides locals, shoppers from other parts of the province have also arrived in the city in large numbers. The major shopping centres including Meena Bazaar, Kochi Bazaar, Shaheen Bazaar, Pepal Mani Karimpura, Qissa Khwani, Jinnnah Street, Arbab, Road, Shafi Market, Deans Trade Centre and shopping plazas on University Road are attracting thousands of shoppers on daily basis.
A rush of young girls and boys is witnessed specially at stalls established for Eid cards, mehendi and bangles. The shoes stores are also attracting a large number of buyers as majority of people purchase shoes on Eid. Sikandpura, Jehangirpura and the Ghafoor Shoes Market of Charsadda bazaar are attracting a large number of buyers from across the province.
Due to rush of people, some bazaars have even banned the entry of men into their premises.
