Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Dr Farooq Sattar has said that his party has started a new journey accompanied by Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and we hope that the coalition would be in the larger interest of country and nation. Talking to media persons at Allama Iqbal International Airport here on Sunday, Dr Farooq Sattar said that in politics negotiations between political parties are part of democracy.
He said that MQM was desirous for better working relations with PML-N in federation and PPP in Sindh for putting joint efforts to resolve the issues confronting the national sovereignty and stability besides affecting the common man.
Dr Farooq Sattar supported taking all political parties on board to chalk out a joint strategy against terrorism, power crisis, poverty, unemployment and other crises faced by the country. He said that absence of Local Bodies System (LBS) resulted in massive destruction in Karachi. If LBS would have been functional the situation would have been much different, he added.
The MQM leader said that during last five years no provincial government succeeded to run the local government system in accordance with the needs.
Dr Farooq Sattar said that Sindh government has not yet disbursed salaries to 70,000 employees and after Eidul Fitr a campaign would be launched for their rights.
