An independent candidate from NA-1 Peshawar Fayaz Ali Shah said provincial metropolis is deliberately ignored, vowed if he voted to power, would take practical steps for development and resolution of problems being faced by the inhabitants of Peshawar.
Addressing at a news conference on Wednesday here at Press Club, Fayaz Ali said provincial capital Peshawar is enjoying a gateway status of central Asia, and has deep historical, civilisation and cultural importance in the region. He said, unfortunately, this important city is being kept ignored on all fronts, adding none of the former elected representatives gave due attention towards the miseries of the dwellers.
He added being son of the soil, I have decided to come into the politics for the sake of its dwellers. The locals are confronting numerous difficulties of sewerage, sanitation issues, he said. Similarly, no proper attention in the previous government was given towards the health and education facilities to millions of people of the provincial capital, he maintained.
Fayaz said that contrary to the traditional politicians, he will go to the door of each and every elector beyond any political affiliation and vowed to resolve the issues of the locals on priority basis. The city will be given back its original beauty and will be reverted as the city of flowers and orchards and the citizens would be provided with the best environment to live in. Fayaz is quite optimistic of his success in the upcoming by-election from NA-1, to be held on August 22.
