Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has expressed anguish over unnecessary delay in replying to a letter, written by the International Committee of Red Crescent (ICRC) to provincial home department, aimed at to get suggestions about activities of the ICRC in KP, asked the provincial home department to reply to letter by August 12.
The directives were issued while holding a meeting with a delegation of ICRC, headed by Pal Gastrila at chief minister office on Wednesday. The visiting ICRC delegation informed the Chief Minister about the organisation activities and future planning in KP. Other members of ICRC delegation were included Beatrice Oechsli, and Dr Sabahat Jamal Gilani and other officials.
The delegation head informed the Chief Minister that his organisation had written a letter to provincial chief and home secretaries, via Ministry for Interior, to give input and suggestions about the activities of ICRC in the KP. He, however, said the relevant authorities were yet to reply to this letter after a passage of four months.
Chief Minister expressed anguish over the unnecessary delay in replying to the letter of ICRC, asked the provincial home department to send a report till August 12. He said that officials should be identified which were failed to reply to a letter of ICRC despite the passage of four months.
While talking about rights and facilities to the general public, he said the government prime responsibility to protect live and property of the masses along with provision of better health facilities to them. He said he had issued directives to provincial health department to take full benefits from health facilities and services of ICRC. The head of ICRC delegation informed that the organisation is being serving the people for the last 65 years, and providing medical treatment to injured people in various accidents.
He said that they have keenly focused to those patients which victimised by landmine explosion and physical impaired people. The delegation also congratulated the Chief Minister for formulating of a coalition government in KP. Chief Minister appreciated the ICRC services for people of the province, said that they are very grateful for this support and helping hands in the poor people.
