It is interesting to note that the opposition in the National Assembly consists of government in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with right potential to hold the federal government hostage on many issues, including the working of National Economic Council and Council of Common Interests (CCI).
So if there is the impression that the PML (N) can roughshod over the opposition that needs to be corrected; the 'combined opposition' in the National Assembly is a force to reckon with. But on the face of it obtaining constructive ambience in the National Assembly will not be an issue - given Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's spirit of accommodation that he has amply demonstrated by his moves to help form viable provincial governments in Sindh and KPK and later reaching out to the MQM to support his candidate in the presidential election.
