Tanzeem-e-Islami (TI) on Wednesday blamed the US and Israel for toppling Egyptian President, Muhamed Morsi and condemned the role of Saudi Arabia and UAE for supporting the military coup. Dozens of TI Karachi workers staged a stationary protest against the Egyptian military for overthrowing a democratically elected government of Al-Akwan-ul-Muslimoon and other coalition Islamist parties.
The activists carrying banners in their hands showed a resolve to stand by the Al-Akwan-ul-Muslimoon in difficult times. Addressing the protestors, Noman Akhtar and Shujauddin Shaikh said that the US and Israel were globally conspiring against the government of Muhammad Morsi as they were in discontent after the Egyptian parliament adopted an Islamic Constitution.
The Israel openly appreciated Egyptian military chief for overthrowing Morsi government, they said, adding that Saudi Arabia and UAE provided the military government a financial support. "Saudi Arabia pledged $5 billion to the military government while the UAE provided $1 billion aid," they maintained. They also slammed the Egyptian military for resorting straight fire at unarmed supporters of Al-Akwan-ul-Muslimoon, which was condemned neither by European countries nor by US.
"The supporters of Al-Akwan-ul-Muslimoon are being brutally victimised but unfortunately EU and US are playing the role of silent spectators," they lamented. They said that the anti-Islam liberal forces would meet their fate soon, questioning the role of Muslim countries leaving the Egypt in political turmoil. They observed that the Muslim countries were frightened of the US and Israeli. They urged the Muslim world to come out openly from the fears of superpowers and western countries and support the Islamic revolution.
