Elon Musk admits relying too much on robots a mistake of Tesla

Admitting that humans are underrated, billionaire Elon Musk has recently said that depending on too many robots for making the Tesla Model 3 wasn’t a good idea at all.

CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk’s Model 3 production at the Tesla factory isn’t exactly going according to plan. Yet, he assured that the company will deliver all the Model 3 Tesla’s to the people who have ordered, even if six to nine months behind schedule, taking responsibility for the delay and missed targets.

As per Futurism, in an interview with ‘CBS Good Morning’ at the Tesla factory, Musk accepted that Tesla is relying a bit too much on robots and automation and instead needs more workers.

Moreover, Tesla has lately been under a lot of pressure. As CNBC explains, not only did Model 3 production targets were missed, Tesla has also been dealing with fatal car crash with its autopilot systems, the fallout of a recall of 123,000 older Model 3 vehicles, downgrade of its credits by a ratings agency and more.

Musk replied to this saying, “The problem that people have, a lot of the analysts, is they kinda look in the rearview mirror instead of looking at the front windscreen. This has very frequently been why people have underestimated Tesla, because they would look at Tesla’s — what Tesla’s done in the past and use that as proxy for what we’re able to do in the future.”

Musk agreed that he has been under a lot of stress, pulling all nighters at the Tesla factory to stay on top of Model 3 production. “When things get really intense, I don’t have time to go home and shower and change, so I just sleep here. Last time I was here, I actually slept literally on the floor, because the couch was too narrow. It's terrible. This is not a good couch,” Musk said during the interview.
