ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) made Investments in Charji/LTE during last years that have yielded positive results with Year over year (YOY) revenue growth in double digits.

PTCL’s flagship Fixed Broadband DSL service accelerated its momentum and posted revenue growth of 9pc over Q1, 2017, 1pc increase in revenue mainly contributed by growth fixed broadband DSL and Charji and revenue for Q1 2018 has grown YoY by 4pc to Rs. 30 billion as a result of positive contribution by all group companies.

Talking to APP an official of PTCL said, to provide customers with better internet experience and higher speeds, EVO is being replaced with Charji 4G LTE and PTCL also partnered with Netflix, the world’s leading streaming content provider, to give customers access to quality international content, thus further enhancing their viewing experience.

In the current year PTCL continues its comprehensive Network Transformation project with several additional exchanges fully transformed in different parts of the country.

PTCL has also signed new Cloud Infrastructure Services and Connectivity Services agreements while also enhancing its Enterprise Solutions and Cloud Services portfolio by signing reseller partnership agreements with global IT companies.

PTCL and Telenor Pakistan, for the third consecutive year, have entered into a fiber leasing agreement, under which PTCL will deliver fiber footprint to Telenor Pakistan for this year.

The official apprised that Charji service is available in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, AJK, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Region, Faisalabad City, Mianwali, Chiniot, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Bhakkar, Khushab,

In NTR-II Region DIKhan, Bannu, Kohat, Hangu, Tank, Karak, Thall, in QTR Region Quetta city, hub, Gwadar, Kuchlak, kohlu, mustang, Khuzdar, Sibi and Loralai and in RTR Mangla, Jhelum, Dina, Gujjar Khan, Mandra, Rawat, Kahuta, Murree, Taxila, Wah, Hassanabdal, Attock (Ghondal, Hazro), Kamra, Fateh Jang, Chakwal, Talagang have been provided the Charji service.

He said, Charji offers ultra-high speed connectivity which allows the customers to enjoy faster web browsing, HD video streaming, instantaneous music and picture downloads, uninterrupted online gaming sessions and much more.

Wingle (USB Powered Hotspot) and CharJi Cloud (battery powered MiFi) are sleek and pocket-friendly devices which connect up to 10 devices over WiFi, he added.

To uplift the brand and to play its due role as a national company supporting national sports, PTCL sponsored Hockey Cup 2018, Pakistan T20 Team in New Zealand series and Islamabad United Team in PSL-3. PTCL has been recognized by Brand Finance as the “Fastest Growing Brand in Pakistan”.
