Pakistani mother-daughter celebrities who are too good to be ignored

Pakistani television and cinema industry is filled with talented actresses who are ruling the small screens and interestingly, many of these super talented actresses were born with stardom and talent in their genes, thanks to their famous mothers.

From Meesha Shafi to Zara Noor Abbas and Iman Ali to Mehwish Hayat, all these ladies come from mothers who have either showcased their talents in their younger days or are still working in the industry as actresses.

Here’s a list of actresses who have inherited a skill set of talent from their maternal side:

Meesha Shafi and Saba Hameed

The mother of the talented singer/actor Meesha Shafi, who has worked across the world, is none other than the veteran actress Saba Hameed. Saba has been working in the drama industry for the past three decades. Recently, the singer also was one of the judges of ‘Pepsi Battle of bands’.

Mehreen Raheel and Seemi Raheel

Mehreen is the daughter of another veteran actress Seemi Raheel, who has been working in the drama/movie for the past 30 years. The actress has worked in multiple movies including the Indo-Pak venture ‘Virsa’.

Anzela Abbasi and Javeria Abbasi

Although it’s hard to believe that actress Javeria Abbasi could be a mother to a daughter in her 20s who would be working as a lead actress in dramas, but it’s true. Anzela Abbasi is the daughter of Javeria and Shamoon Abbasi. Anzela was recently seen in the drama serial ‘Gila’.

Mira and Bushra Ansari

Bushra Ansari didn’t keep her talent and acting skills to herself but successfully transferred them to her daughters, especially Mira who has a big name in the modeling industry and has worked for major clothing brands as their prêt and couture model.

Zara Noor Abbas and Asma Abbas

Zara, who has recently found fame through her drama ‘Khamoshi’, is the daughter of veteran actress Asma Abbas and also the niece of Bushra Ansari.

Daughter of famous actors Abid Ali and Humaira Ali, Iman Ali made her own name in the industry, becoming one of the first supermodels of Pakistan and then taking movie industry by storm with her famous film ‘Khuda Kay Liye’.

The famous film actress from the yesteryears, Nisho, gave birth to Sahiba unknowingly that she would become a movie actress just like herself. However, after featuring in a number of movies, Sahiba quit the industry after marrying co-star Rambo.
