PTI has demanded that in rape cases DNA test should be considered as tangible evidence. While addressing a press conference here on Friday, PTI president Ejaz Chaudhary said that in a society where barbarism is growing, it is imperative to accept DNA test as tangible evidence.
"A comprehensive law should be legislated for prevention of crime against women," he added. He lambasted the Punjab government for failing to apprehend the culprits involved in Sumbal rape case. He said they ask government to arrest the culprits till October 21, otherwise they will hold demonstration against the provincial rulers.
Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Main Mahmood-ur-Rasheed said three times the government gave deadline to Punjab police to arrest the culprits involved in Sumabal case, but all in vain. He drew the attention towards another rape case, in which two sisters were molested by police officials and disclosed that the police created hurdles in registration of case against the culprits.
