The personnel of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) fined 93 VIPs during last month over violation of traffic rules. According to ITP spokesman, ITP personnel who have proved their firmness to the basic vision by remaining polite and courteous, issued thousands of tickets to traffic rules' violators including VIPs.
Nineteen army officials, 15 diplomats, 12 journalists, 30 parliamentarians, 14 bureaucrats and senior officers, three civil judges and 3 DIGs were fined during the last month. Inspector General of Police Islamabad Sikandar Hayat has appreciated this performance and said ITP force is very committed to its vision of ensuring equal implementation of law.
Acting SSP (Traffic) Asmat Ullah Junejo said that ITP has succeeded in maintaining an exemplary traffic system in the Capital and its personnel are following the operational codes of the force in true letter and spirit including elimination of VIP culture and equal application of traffic rules in the city.-PR
