On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) has completed development and pavilion renovation works of the cricket ground at R-Block Model Town. Punjab Minister for Education and Sports Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has constituted a committee to make functional newly constructed Women Cricket Club R-Block Model Town.
The committee comprising representatives of Punjab Sports Board, PHA, Model Town Society and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would give a final shape to the proposed agreement of PCB with Punjab government so that domestic as well as international matches could be arranged between women teams at this ground. The Terms of References (TORs) would be completed within next few weeks to handover this ground to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
