On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, 950 tonnes relief goods worth Rs 135 million have been sent for the earthquake victims of Balochistan.
These items include 50,850 food hampers, 2,300 atta bags of 10kg, 10,150 tents, three trucks of medicines, 360 blankets and 5,000 mosquito nets while 3,886 foods hampers through 101 trucks from Rahim Yar Khan to Lasbaila and 26 sorties of the helicopter of Chief Minister Punjab. Relief Commissioner Punjab & Senior Member Board of Revenue Nadeem Ashraf said on Monday that various committees have been formed for purchase, quality, transportation and packing of relief items which, after reviewing, give approval to the purchase and supply of relief items.
